The Prof. Isaiah Gafni Lecture

The renowned scholar and award-winning teacher at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem will speak on

"The Uses (and Misuse) of Ancient History in Contemporary Israel"

About Prof. Gafni: Sol Rosenbloom Chair, Department of History of the Jewish People, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel; Education: 1966 B.A., Hebrew University; 1969 M .A., Hebrew University; 1978 PhD. Hebrew University; Research Interests: Jewish History in the Second Temple, Mishnah and Talmud Periods

Prof. Gafni was one of a small group of the world's outstanding scholars selected by The Teaching Company to record two multi-part lecture series for their "Great Courses" CD and DVD sets.
